$100,000 in community grants for NFPs
Mon, 22 August 2011
Not-for-profit (NFP) organisations running locally-based initiatives that make a difference to the health and wellbeing of communities can apply for up to $100,000 in funding.
The funding is part of NIB Foundation’s Community Grants program, which partners with up to ten organisations each year to run community-focused activities. The funding will support these organisations’ initiatives for one year.
Preference will be given to programs that focus on one of the following areas:
- Wellbeing – promoting the physical fitness, nutrition, mental and social wellbeing of the community.
- Equity and access – enabling those living in regional, rural and remote areas to participate in activities that enhance their quality of life.
- Education and training – providing widespread access to resources and information to improve community awareness of health-related issues.

Applications close 21 September 2011.
