Based in Brisbane, Simpson has worked with the Queensland Branch of the AWU since 1995. He has extensive workplace relations and advocacy experience in the areas of education, training, mine
safety, disability and carers’ responsibilities, and workplace health and safety. Following Simpson’s appointment, there will be 52 sitting members of Fair Work Australia from a range of backgrounds.
