Noel Turnbull has been appointed as the new Chair tor the Collections Council of Australia (CCA), replacing Sue Nattrass AO, who is retiring after four years in the role.
Turnbull is an adjunct professor at RMIT University and has more than 35 years of experience in the media and public relations field. Among other prestigious positions, he is President of the Victorian College of the Arts Council, as well as an editorial advisory member of numerous Australian and international communications journals.
Collections Council CEO Margaret Birtley congratulated Turnbull on his appointment. “Our work requires collaboration with many stakeholders in the collections sector. We look forward to Turnbull’s involvement and guidance.”
The CCA is the peak national body that represents the shared interests of archives, galleries, libraries and museums. The Collections Council was initiated and supported by the Cultural Ministers Council.
