Tim Costello’s son Elliott, has founded a new not-for-profit Y-Generation Against Poverty (Y-GAP).
Not to be confused with the Young Generation Asian Professional association that shares its acronym, Y-GAP is a youth-run, international volunteer organisation. Through involving young volunteers in development projects, Y-GAP wants to reduce the gap between privileged and underprivileged children.
With a focus on creating a positive future for disadvantaged children by supporting their access to education, Y-GAP aims to support children and young people whose futures are currently crippled by poverty.
After a highly successful fundraising campaign, including two star-studded Melbourne events. Elliot Costello is currently leading a team of 15 committed young Australians in building new classrooms in Malawi and a safe house in Ghana.
