Human Rights Awards now open

Nominations for not-for-profit (NFP) individuals and organisations that have contributed to their community are now open as part of the Human Rights Awards 2011.
The Community Award (Individual) is awarded to someone who has promoted and advanced human rights on a not-for-profit basis in the Australian community.
The Community Award (Organisation) is awarded to a non-government or community-based not-for-profit organisation that has encouraged and developed human rights in the Australian community.
Other categories open for nominations include human rights, law, business and media categories, such as television, radio and print media.
Winners will be presented with their awards at a ceremony at the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth on 9 December 2011.
