The school supports entrepreneurial individuals in making their projects for social and community benefit more effective and sustainable. The SSE Australia is supported by Social Ventures Australia, the SSE UK, and Steve Lawrence – a social entrepreneur and Chief Executive of the Australian Social Innovation Exchange.

Third Sector — July 2010
Originating in the UK, the new Melbourne School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) took in a cohort of twenty two students when it opened in April 2010.
