Third Sector — October 2008
Nicholas Goodwin has been appointed the new Executive Director of Youth Challenge Australia, based in Sydney. He replaces Sebastien Brignano who has gone to work for Medecins Sans Frontieres in Chad.
Mr Goodwin has worked on community development and public programs for over 10 years; throughout Asia and Australia, for federal government, UN agencies, NGOs and the private sector. He speaks Indonesian, loves to travel and is inspired by volunteers every day.
“I am proud to join the Youth Challenge Australia team at this important stage of the organisation’s growth. Annually more than 100 YCA volunteers play a critical role in developing communities in Asia, the Americas and remote indigenous communities in Australia. I am privileged to work with such a dedicated and professional Board, staff team and volunteers,” Mr Goodwin said.
